Eclectic Traditional Witchcraft

This called to me from upon the shelf at the local thrift store. The artwork was something that spoke to me. I felt this would be perfect to use within my craft, but for what? I don't understand this should be simple. I could use it for storage of herbs, or as a decorative altar vase. I could utilize it for graveyard dirt. It was a dollar at the store but I think they gave it to me free. Prior to finding this today last night I had quite a dream. It was of a stairway I had to take. At the top of the stairs was a pole with an eagle skull sitting atop it. This image whenever I had to walk by brought me fear. What does it all mean? What is it I am being called to?

I like to use small oil warmers to warm up faux seaglass to wrap in a cloth whenever I have a migraine or other pain that may benefit from heat. I've found this to be greatly helpful for my migraines.  I came upon this idea while experimenting with a combination of sea witchcraft and hedgecraft. 

Many deity offerings begin with an attempt. Most don't quite know what to offer. Over time we find ourselves accustomed to this rapport with our Gods and Goddeses. We begin to understand what these deities find acceptable. What they prefer. This opens a way of communication between us and the spirit world, or world of spirits. Devotional offering (top). Altar set up (bottom). So what is it we offer? Personally I've found with working with my own deities that sometimes the spirits are very tolerant of our offerings. Over time you will come to build a rapport with your deities. They will tell you in their own way what they require.
